Custom Manufacturing
Sterogene custom tailors chromatography solutions at all manufacturing scales for a reasonable cost, with no future commitments from the client. You simply define your specifications, the volume, and how you’d like us to qualify the resin, and we’ll deliver a fully tested cGMP resin with a Certificate of Analysis--usually within 2-3 weeks. This can be done as a simple one-off project, or as a broader custom resin development panel. Qualified technical personnel are on hand to discuss the possibilities with you.
Custom cGMP Affinity Resins
Base Agarose Particles: Standard options (4% and 6%)
The “4” or “6” suffix at the end of a product name indicates the percentage agarose concentration of the base particle. Generally, a 4% bead has a higher porosity and less rigidity than 6% bead. The higher density of crosslinked agarose chains in a 6% bead accounts for a stronger yet less porous matrix. Purifications of macromolecules such as IgG typically benefit from a 4% matrix. Higher degrees of crosslinking can offset the lower rigidity of a 4% matrix. Proteins smaller than IgG (150kDa) can be purified on a 6% matrix.
The names of different Sterogene product lines reflect their degrees of crosslinking.
In order of increasing rigidity, we inventory:
Uniflow (4% and 6% agarose)
Superflow (6%)
Ultraflow (4% and 6%)
Sterogene manufactures and inventories the following bead sizes in addition to custom bead size ranges from 1-1100µm:
40-160µm (Ultraflow)
60-160µm (Uniflow, Superflow)
200-300µm (Cellthru 300)
300-500µm (Cellthru BigBead Plus)
Sterogene specializes in activation chemistries and immobilization strategies. We work with the best primary and secondary suppliers who enable us to deliver high-performance chromatography resins, optimized for the specific constraints and opportunities posed by different applications.
High binding capacities with low non-specific binding
High flow rates
Regulatory compliance in manufacturing (cGMP)
High cycle time, longevity
Base-stability for CIP
At Sterogene, we pride ourselves in being more focused and flexible than our competitors. We don’t require a 10L order for custom cGMP chromatography media; our minimum custom resin order is 20ml. When you’re ready to scale up to 1000L batches, we can handle your needs--and we’ll be ready with a Regulatory Support File and lot-to-lot consistency data.
Our goal is simple: to ensure our clients are consistently satisfied.
